WECARE ABOUT SUPPORTING THE 2SLGBTQIA+ COMMUNITY As we bid farewell to Pride Month, let's delve into the impactful dialogue our Inclusion and Belonging Committee initiated. Through this conversation, Plan Group has taken its first stride in actively supporting members of the 2SLGBTQSI+ community.
WHY DID WE CHOOSE TO HOST AN INTERNAL PANEL DISCUSSION?
Plan Group's Inclusion and Belonging Committee organized a thought-provoking Pride Panel Discussion to help promote a culture of inclusivity and embrace diversity within our teams.
This event was designed to celebrate the 2SLGBTQSI+ community in the construction and trades industry and encourage an understanding of the diverse experiences of our team members. Led by five LGBTQ+ community members, allies, and diversity experts from Plan Group and our local trades union, the Pride Panel Discussion provided valuable insights and perspectives.
During the discussion, the panellists openly shared their personal stories and experiences, offering valuable insights into the hurdles they faced and the methods they used to triumph over them. The conversations strongly emphasized the significance of creating an inclusive work environment where every individual, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, feels respected.
At Plan Group, we recognize that inclusivity is fundamental to driving innovation, fostering creativity, and cultivating a harmonious work environment. This Pride Panel Discussion is a testament to our unwavering dedication to championing diversity, inclusion, and a profound sense of belonging within our organization. It represents one of the many initiatives we undertake to support these core values in the workplace.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who made this discussion possible.
Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive community from coast to coast.
