Safety Week - Safety Helmets & Chin Strap

At our fourth Safety Week meeting, we’ll talk about how to wear Type 2 safety helmets the right way. These helmets protect you from impacts in different directions, but they only work if they fit well and stay secure. Before you put on your helmet, check it, the suspension, and the chin strap for any damage.
Make sure the helmet sits level and feels secure, then fasten the chin strap.
Check that it stays in place when you move your head. If the chin strap is loose or not fastened, the helmet won’t protect you as well.
