Earth Week takes place April 20 – April 26, with Earth Day falling on April 22. We are excited to announce a take-home activity for you and your family: building a Bee Hotel to support the vital pollinators. 🐝🌍
This year's Earth Week theme, "Our Power, Our Planet", focuses on renewable energy and sustainability. During this week, we aim to encourage everyone to take action to improve the environment.
Join Our Bee Hotel Building Activity
In line with Equans' commitment to biodiversity, we invite you to participate in our Bee Hotel activity. This fun project will provide a shelter for pollinators, where they can nest and be protected.
Not only is this activity beneficial for bees, but it also encourages upcycling, as the hotel is made from a tin can and scrap paper.

Why Protecting Pollinators Matters
Pollinators are vital for plant reproduction, helping over 75% of flowering plants and one-third of our food.
They support biodiversity and create healthy ecosystems by ensuring the survival of various plant species that other wildlife depend on.
Climate change is already affecting pollinator populations, making their protection more urgent.
Declining pollinator populations threaten food security and harm agriculture, impacting the global economy.
We can protect pollinators by creating safe spaces for them.
Get Involved!
The Bee Hotel kits can be picked up in the lunchroom from Thursday, April 17 to Monday, April 21. (Vaughan Head office)
Please take a photo of your completed Bee Hotel before Tuesday, April 22. Send all photos to communications.ca@equans.com.
Let's work together to make Earth Week 2025 memorable and impactful!
