OUR COMMITMENT TO SUPPORTING LGBTQIA2S+ COMMUNITY

At Plan Group, we are proud to celebrate Pride Month and show our support and allyship for the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Pride Month is a global celebration that honours LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, their achievements, and the ongoing pursuit of equity. It is a time to recognize and embrace diversity in relation to sexual orientation and gender identification while promoting inclusivity and acceptance for all.

WHAT IS THE SOCIAL SIGNIFICANCE OF "PRIDE"?

Pride is a worldwide movement that advocates for the rights and equality of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, asexual, two-spirit, and all other individuals who identify as community members (LGBTQIA2S+). It originated from the Stonewall Riots in 1969, which marked a pivotal moment in the fight for LGBTQIA2S+ rights. Pride Month, observed in June, serves as an opportunity to raise awareness, celebrate LGBTQIA2S+ culture, and show support for the community.

To showcase our commitment to Pride Month, we have created a set of vibrant and inclusive Pride-themed Teams backgrounds. These backgrounds allow you to display your support for the LGBTQIA2S+ community during virtual meetings.

Follow the step-by-step instructions below to set up your new Teams background:

• Download your chosen Pride-themed background image.

• Open Microsoft Teams.

• Click on more (…)

• Go to the "Effects and Avatars" menu.

• Select the "Add new" box.

• Locate and select the downloaded Pride-themed background image.

• Apply the background to your video calls.
