Safety Week Recap!

As we wrap up 2026 Safety Week, we want to thank everyone for participating!

We kicked off the week with a survey to get feedback from our field teams. This helped us see what’s working well and where we can improve communication, training, tools, and support to better meet their needs.

Every day, our toolbox talks covered a few key safety topics to help reinforce safe work practices:

- Line of fire

- How each of us can influence health and safety

- Proper use of Type II safety helmets and chin straps

- Working safely with subcontractors

We also worked with the Canadian Institute for Safety, Wellness, and Performance (CISWP) on a research study at our Prefab Shop. The goal was to better understand what causes workplace injuries so we can prevent them.

Safety Week reminds us that by working together, we help everyone get home safely.

Stay focused on your tasks, watch your surroundings, and stop work if something doesn’t feel safe to help prevent incidents. Safety is everyone’s responsibility, and it starts with each of us.
